This session begin with a short overview of what is a Makey Makey and how it can be used in the classroom. We will have a look some work samples from students and how I use this device in my own teaching. There will be ideas of where the Makey Makey might assist to engage students across K-6 and across the various KLA's. The Makey Makey can be used as an effective teaching tool to engage students without teachers needing to be experts. We will discuss and view how this operates in my classroom.

This will be a ‘hands on” session with a short overview at the beginning. No more than 15 minutes. The remaining time (30 - 45 minutes) would be used to explore and use the Makey Makey in small groups There would be small group challenges that teachers could take and use in their classroom. Depending on the needs and skills within the group we could add some Scratch programming challenges that would incorporate the Makey Makey. #coding #hardfun #STEM #MakeyMakey #accessible
